Mind Your Ps' and Queues

How would you react in the following situations?

1) You've been waiting for a cab at the side of a road; you're in a hurry. Someone who came later cut your path, jumped the queue and started flagging. Would you go up to this person and say you are first?

2) There was a long queue at a foodstall. You've been queueing for quite a while and were nearing your turn. Someone came along and asked you to help buy. There's still along queue behind you. Would you agree to help?

3) You were first in the queue at the bus interchange, waiting for a particular bus. An old woman came along and asked to queue before you. Would you allow?

1) yes! if the person is even gutsy enough to be standing close to me to cut my queue. huur..

2) hmm...depending. if is old and kind ah peh or ah ma, then consider. but all others, i'll get the person to seek permission first from those queuing behind. if they have no objections, then i wont mind either.

3) yes! a kind deed a day makes the old woman's day and my day! =D

hahaha....thanks for your answers! by the way, I must put disclaimer that this is not a psychological test.

For me, my reactions to all of the above situations are circumstancial. They depend on who are the people in context, and how much in need the person is to be ahead of you.

My most classic reaction to a young teen who asked me to help top up her farecard while there was a long queue behind me was: "If the people behind me agrees, I'll help you top up." She backs off.
